Gum Disease refers to swelling of the gum line that can progress to affect the bone that surround and support your teeth.

The three stages of gum disease are:

• Gingivitis
• Periodontitis
• Advanced periodontitis

Gum diseases can be painless, so it is important to be aware of following symptoms:

• Gums that easily bleed while brushing & biting
• Swollen, red or painful gums
• Persistent bad breath or bad taste in mouth
• Loose teeth

• Initial stages of gum diseases like gingivitis can be treated with simple cleaning and polishing.
• Severe gum diseases such as periodontitis and advanced periodontitis may require deep flap curettage and laser treatment.
